Shredding and Document Destruction
Confidential Shredding and Document Destruction are an essential part of the document 'life cycle', however knowing when or how to Destroy Information in a Secure manner is one of a company's major headaches. Safebox is primarily concerned with the active management and control of your current and live data but the Confidential and Secure Disposal of Data is equally important. The trouble is too many companies just ignore it, leaving items in store ad infinitum, rather than using a Shredding and Document Destruction system to deal with the issue, or they make totally inadequate provisions for the Secure Disposal of Data reaching the end of its life.
In todays world of identity theft and computer espionage our secure data/media shredding service is paramount in the effective avoidence of these growing crimes.
All organisations record data in one form or another, either on themselves, their customers and suppliers and in some cases their competition.
To compliment all our other services, Safebox can take on the responsibility for your documentation through legal retention to final destruction.
Ignoring the destruction issue doesn’t help, items that remain forgotten add to the bulk of information being stored, becoming inflexible and eventually unmanageable. It means far more boxes are being stored than necessary, with the corresponding increase in cost.
Items Safebox are able to confidentially destruct on your behalf include:
• Paperwork/documentation
• Audio/Video Tapes
• CD/DVD Media
• Computer Hard Disks
• X-rays
• Plans and Drawings
|
Safebox have a variety of confidential destruction vessels, including: boxes, sacks, bins all supplied on and off site.
When destroy dates are supplied to us with any storage items, we will catalogue this information, and inform the client when these items are due for review or destruction. Any items due for destruction, that clients believe to have met their legal obligation to keep, are then passed through a highly secure and confidential shredding operation ensuring the total loss of any data contained.
Once destruction procedures have been performed, clients are issued with a ‘Certificate of Destruction’ to be compliant with the 1998 Data Protection regulations.
